Who We Are

Beyond HR, LLC is a fast-growing bookkeeping and HR consulting firm that partners with small and medium-sized businesses across the country. We handle the books, wrangle the admin, and help business owners actually breathe again. 

We're a small but mighty team and we run tight, clean operations because our clients depend on it.

What We're Looking For

We need a numbers-focused bookkeeping pro who can plug into client accounts and just go. You already know the fundamentals. You've lived in QBO or Xero. Month-end close doesn't stress you out, it's just another Tuesday. 

What you'll learn here are our client workflows, our tools stack, and our Beyond HR way of doing things. That part we can teach.

What You'll Do

  • Manage client QBO or Xero accounts (bonus points if you're certified in both)
  • Update and categorize bank feeds, process AP & AR, enter JEs
  • Own month-end close, start to finish, on schedule, every time
  • Produce clean financial reports for client review and leadership
  • Handle 1099 prep, sales tax, and payroll reconciliations
  • Process payroll as needed
  • Work independently and communicate proactively when you hit a wall

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of client-facing bookkeeping with full-cycle close experience [this is non-negotiable]
  • Solid hands-on QBO and/or Xero experience (certifications welcome, experience required)
  • At least 1 year of remote work under your belt
  • Comfort with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, and ideally tools like Gusto, ADP, and Hive
  • Confidentiality and integrity aren't on your resume, they're just how you operate
  • Ownership mindset: you spot issues, say something, and help fix it
  • A modern computer, 50Mbps+ internet, a webcam, and a workspace you're not embarrassed to turn the camera on in

A Note on Experience Level

We love people who are pivoting careers or just getting started, and quite often, we do hire for potential. But right now, we're growing fast and we simply don't have the bandwidth to train someone on bookkeeping fundamentals. If you're still learning what a journal entry is, this one's not the right fit yet. But we would love for you to bookmark us and come back.

The Hiring Process

  1. Application Review: We screen your resume and application answers for core fit. Be real! Generic answers get noticed (not in a good way).
  2. Video Snapshot: If we like what we see, you'll get a link to record short video answers to a few prompts. This is where we see who you actually are, not just what your resume says.
  3. Live Interview with Jude & Melissa: A real conversation. We'll talk culture, fit, how you think, and all the fun stuff.
