The Business Development Assistant is responsible for supporting the development of various practice groups and reports to the Business Development Manager, who is based in the Roseland, NJ office.Essential Job Requirements: Supporting the Business Development Manager across various areas, such as:Assisting with pitch creation, including proposals and RFP responsesPreparing and tracking third-party directory submissions, league tables, and award submissionsParticipating in quality control processes for collateral and e-marketing campaigns, including client alerts, white papers, articles, and newslettersConducting competitive intelligence research to provide lawyers with up-to-date insights on clients, prospects, competitors, and market trendsCoordinating and project managing the promotion and execution of events, conferences, and seminarsCreating intelligence reports on key clients, markets, and competitorsTracking the practice group's marketing collateral, including proposal presentations, bios, and web materialsCoordinating with the Communications team to promote speaking engagements, events, and other activities on social media and the firm's websiteAssisting with promotional activities, including podcast and video recording sessions (note that the firm utilizes professional third-party vendors for such recordings)Maintaining up-to-date and accurate matter descriptions and tracking the related infrastructureAssisting with ROI follow up and Win/Loss tracking with regular reportingSupporting budget tracking and expense reconciliation for the practice groupsLiaising with the Professional Development team to secure Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit for client presentationsGeneral practice administrative supportSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Bachelor's or advanced degree requiredExcellent organizational and project management skillsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsAbility to execute flawlessly; strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects at once, prioritizing among competing tasksAbility to interpret, explain and apply instructions and/or guidelines as appropriateComputer skills needed including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and internet researchAbility to work effectively with other team members; strong relationship-building skillsAdaptable, flexible, and tenacious at achieving goalsExhibits professional maturity; composed under pressureOffice Location: Roseland, NJ or New York, NY (Hybrid)Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday NJ: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMNY: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PMAmount of Travel Required: less than 10% (This includes periodic travel between the NY and NJ offices) The expected salary range for candidates meeting the requirements of this position is $60,000 to $65,000. The range provided is the salary that Lowenstein Sandler in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications and location.
