Revenue Accounting Analyst
Location: Remote (work hours are 9 AM to 5 PM EST)
Department: Accounting
Reports to: Financial Director and the Sr. Specialist, Audit & Compliance
Position Summary
We are seeking a detailoriented Revenue Accounting Analyst to support accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15. This role is ideal for a candidate with a few years of experience in revenue accounting, including time spent in a large public accounting firm or within an inhouse revenue accounting function. The analyst will help with an ongoing time-sensitive project to populate a revenue recognition checklist for various key client contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and determine proper revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15, including reviewing contract and identifying performance obligations
  • Perform technical accounting analysis for customer contracts and document conclusions regarding transaction price, performance obligations, agent/principal determination, variable & non-cash considerations, etc.
  • Work with accounting team to ensure accurate revenue treatment based on contract terms
  • Assist with development, documentation, and execution of revenuerelated SOX/ICFR controls
  • Prepare auditready documentation and respond to internal and external (Big 4) audit requests
  • Support process improvements related to revenue recognition
  • Assist with ad hoc revenue analysis and management reporting as needed

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in:
    • Large public accounting (audit or advisory), and/or
    • Corporate revenue accounting under ASC 606 or IFRS 15 standards
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and contract accounting
  • Experience preparing audit/control documentation
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle complex contract terms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or CPAeligible a plus
  • Experience working in a SOX or ICFRcompliant environment
  • Exposure to multiple revenue models (e.g., subscription, SaaS, usagebased, milestonebased, straightline)
  • Prior experience partnering with external auditors
