We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for PhD-level professionals with expertise in developmental psychology, child development, research, and psychological evaluation to contribute to an advanced AI training and evaluation project.
Selected professionals will review developmental-psychology datasets and AI-generated content, develop evaluation scenarios and guidelines, and provide expert feedback on developmental accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and psychological relevance. Research or academic experience is sufficient; direct clinical experience is not required. No prior experience in AI is required.
Key Responsibilities
Developmental Psychology Evaluation
- Review and annotate content related to children's learning, behaviour, and development
- Assess cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and psychosocial accuracy
- Identify developmental inaccuracies, unsupported interpretations, or inappropriate generalisations
- Evaluate how age, language, and cultural context affect developmental interpretation
AI Evaluation & Content Development
- Review AI-generated psychological content for accuracy and relevance
- Develop realistic scenarios and test cases involving child development
- Create or refine evaluation guidelines and structured criteria
- Translate established research into practical standards for AI evaluation
Research & Documentation
- Evaluate evidence underlying developmental claims
- Distinguish established findings from unsupported conclusions
- Document findings and recommendations clearly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and explain psychological reasoning to non-specialists
Ideal Profile
- PhD in Developmental Psychology, Child Development, or a closely related field
- Strong academic or research background in child development
- Expertise in cognitive, linguistic, social, behavioural, or psychosocial development
- Experience evaluating psychological research or structured datasets
- Strong analytical and written communication skills
- Direct clinical experience is not required
- Experience with digital, technology, or AI-related projects is advantageous
- No prior AI-training experience is required
- Proficiency in Japanese, French, Tagalog, Malay, Lithuanian, Russian, Georgian, Polish, Marathi, Bengali, Urdu, Vietnamese, Swahili, Mandarin, Cantonese, Indonesian, Turkish, Gujarati, or Bulgarian is particularly valued
Engagement Details
- Independent contractor engagement
- Fully remote
- Compensation: $100–$200/hour
- Work will involve developmental psychology, dataset annotation, AI-content evaluation, scenario development, and guideline creation
- Multilingual expertise may be relevant to specific assignments
- Project topics and evaluation standards may vary according to project needs
