Remote | Finance AI Training Specialist — $60–$85/hour

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for finance professionals with recognised CFA, ACA, ACCA, or CPA credentials and hands-on experience in investment banking, asset management, corporate finance, accounting, audit, treasury, or financial planning and analysis.

This role supports a generative AI initiative focused on building advanced financial reasoning capabilities into large language models. Selected professionals will design challenging finance tasks, develop accurate reference solutions, evaluate model-generated analyses, and create structured scoring criteria grounded in real-world financial practice and professional judgment.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Task Development

• Design challenging finance problems based on realistic professional scenarios
• Create tasks involving financial analysis, valuation, accounting, investment decisions, treasury, forecasting, or related areas
• Develop clear and technically accurate reference solutions
• Ensure assignments reflect the reasoning and judgment required in professional finance environments

AI Output Evaluation

• Review AI-generated financial analyses, recommendations, calculations, and conclusions
• Assess outputs for technical accuracy, reasoning quality, completeness, and professional judgment
• Identify unsupported assumptions, calculation errors, and weaknesses in financial logic
• Compare responses against structured evaluation criteria and reference solutions

Rubric & Guideline Development

• Create and refine scoring rubrics for finance-related evaluation tasks
• Define clear standards for correctness, reasoning quality, analytical depth, and decision-making
• Distinguish minor omissions from material financial errors
• Improve evaluation guidelines based on recurring model strengths and weaknesses

Research Collaboration

• Help research and engineering teams address gaps in financial knowledge and reasoning
• Provide clear written feedback explaining errors and recommended improvements
• Collaborate with other finance subject-matter experts to maintain consistent quality standards
• Participate reliably in asynchronous review and calibration activities

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

• At least 2 years of dedicated professional experience in finance
• Substantial experience in investment banking, asset management, corporate finance, accounting, audit, corporate treasury, or FP&A
• A recognised CFA, ACA, ACCA, or CPA credential
• Strong financial reasoning, analytical judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Experience developing or reviewing complex financial analyses
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to explain technical finance concepts clearly and precisely
• Reliable weekday availability for at least 10 hours per week

Educational Background

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, mathematics, or a related discipline is highly relevant
• CFA, ACA, ACCA, or CPA credentials are required
• An MBA, master's degree, or other advanced finance qualification may strengthen an application
• Additional specialist training in valuation, financial modelling, investment analysis, accounting, or treasury may be valuable

• Experience developing financial models, forecasts, valuations, or investment recommendations
• Background reviewing the work of analysts, accountants, or finance teams
• Familiarity with structured assessment, rubric development, or technical training materials
