Remote Cold-Calling Appointment Setter – HVAC Assessments
Job Overview
Summit Air Heating & Cooling is seeking confident, reliable remote appointment setters to contact homeowners and schedule in-home assessments for energy-efficient heating and cooling upgrades.
In this role, you will make outbound cold calls to homeowners who may be eligible for utility-sponsored rebates or incentives to replace traditional oil- or gas-fired heating equipment with energy-efficient mini-split heat pump systems.
Your responsibility is not to sell an HVAC system over the phone. Your goal is to explain the purpose of the program, ask basic qualifying questions, and schedule an appointment for an assessor to evaluate the home and determine which incentives the homeowner may qualify for.
This is a high-volume cold-calling position. Successful candidates must be comfortable speaking with new people, handling objections, following a script, and consistently asking for the appointment.
Job Responsibilities
Make outbound cold calls to homeowners within assigned service areas
Briefly explain available energy-efficiency programs and potential utility incentives
Ask qualifying questions about the homeowner, property, and current heating system
Schedule qualified appointments for in-home assessments
Confirm appointment dates, times, addresses, and contact information
Enter accurate customer information and call notes into our CRM
Follow up with interested homeowners who are not ready to schedule immediately
Handle common objections professionally and confidently
Meet daily and weekly call, conversation, and appointment goals
Attend scheduled training, coaching, and team meetings

Qualifications
Strong verbal communication and active-listening skills
Confidence making high-volume outbound cold calls
Ability to remain positive and professional when facing rejection
Comfortable following a proven script while sounding natural
Reliable, punctual, coachable, and self-motivated
Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills
Able to work independently without constant supervision
Previous cold-calling, telemarketing, appointment-setting, HVAC, solar, or home-improvement experience is required
