We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced Learning & Development professionals with strong expertise in employee training, onboarding programmes, instructional design, talent development, and workplace learning.
This role focuses on reviewing professional documents, spreadsheets, and presentation materials related to training, onboarding, and Learning & Development (L&D). Selected experts will assess outputs for instructional quality, practical relevance, analytical rigour, learner experience, presentation effectiveness, and overall professional credibility.
Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development

Evaluate L&D strategies, training materials, and professional learning programmes for quality and effectiveness

Assess whether learning objectives, content, and delivery approaches are appropriately aligned

Identify gaps in programme structure, instructional logic, or learner experience

Review recommendations for employee development and capability building

Apply professional judgement grounded in real-world Learning & Development experience
Employee Training
-
Review training programmes, facilitator materials, learner resources, and supporting content

Assess whether training materials are clear, structured, and appropriate for the intended audience

Evaluate sequencing, instructional depth, and practical applicability

Identify confusing, incomplete, or poorly organised training content

Review whether learning activities support stated training objectives
Onboarding Programmes

Evaluate employee onboarding plans, new-hire materials, and orientation workflows

Assess whether onboarding content supports effective role and organisational integration

Review sequencing, milestones, responsibilities, and communication

Identify gaps in knowledge transfer, process clarity, or stakeholder ownership

Evaluate recommendations intended to improve new-hire readiness and experience
Instructional Design

Review learning materials for instructional structure and design quality

Assess alignment between objectives, content, activities, and assessments

Evaluate whether information is organised in a logical and accessible way

Talent & Capability Development

Evaluate materials involving employee development, skills building, and professional growth

Identify unsupported assumptions or gaps in development planning

Evaluate the practicality of proposed talent-development approaches
Learning Metrics & Programme Analysis

Review spreadsheets and analyses supporting training and L&D decisions

Assess calculations, assumptions, participation metrics, completion data, and programme outcomes

Evaluate whether selected metrics appropriately reflect learning effectiveness

Identify inconsistencies between underlying data and reported conclusions

Review whether analyses support meaningful programme decisions
Documents & Presentation Review

Evaluate training documents, onboarding materials, spreadsheets, reports, and slide decks for accuracy and completeness

Review presentations for logical flow, clarity, learner engagement, and professional quality
-
Identify factual, instructional, aesthetic, and formatting issues
-
Assess whether charts, tables, graphics, and visual elements communicate information effectively

Ensure key learning objectives and recommendations are clearly presented
Structured Evaluation & Feedback

Assess assigned outputs against domain-specific quality criteria

Identify instructional, operational, analytical, factual, and presentation weaknesses

Distinguish substantive L&D issues from minor editorial concerns

Provide clear, structured written feedback explaining identified strengths and weaknesses

Apply evaluation standards consistently across different training and onboarding work products
Ideal Profile
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in Learning & Development, employee training, onboarding, instructional design, talent development, or a closely related field

Experience as a Learning & Development Specialist, L&D Specialist, Training Specialist, Instructional Designer, Talent Development Specialist, or similar professional
-
Strong practical understanding of training, onboarding, and workplace learning

Experience developing or reviewing training programmes, onboarding materials, learning content, instructional resources, or related work products

Strong understanding of learning objectives, instructional structure, learner experience, and programme effectiveness
-
Ability to evaluate training recommendations for clarity, relevance, and practical feasibility

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
-
Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint / Google Slides
-
Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills

Native or professional fluency in English

Excellent written communication and ability to provide precise, structured feedback

Strong attention to instructional, analytical, visual, and presentation detail

Master's degree or higher from a recognised institution is advantageous

- Compensation: $70–$110/hour
