    Description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for licensed US architects with professional experience in architectural design, building codes, project delivery, and industry-standard design and modelling tools.

This role supports an AI research initiative focused on improving how advanced systems understand and reason about architecture. Selected professionals will evaluate written and AI-generated content, answer domain-specific questions, identify useful reference materials, and provide practical insight into architectural workflows, standards, and professional decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities

    Architecture Content Evaluation

    • Review written content and AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, relevance, and professional quality
    • Assess whether architectural concepts, recommendations, and conclusions reflect real-world practice
    • Identify factual errors, unsupported assumptions, and missing design considerations
    • Evaluate content across residential, commercial, institutional, and related project types

    Domain-Specific Analysis

    • Answer architecture questions using clear, well-reasoned explanations
    • Apply professional judgment to design, documentation, code, and project-delivery scenarios
    • Assess whether responses account for practical constraints, stakeholder needs, and applicable standards
    • Provide corrections and supporting rationale where content requires improvement

    Codes, Standards & Reference Materials

    • Review the application of building codes and architectural standards, including the International Building Code
    • Identify reliable reference materials relevant to assigned topics
    • Assess whether cited guidance is appropriate for the project context
    • Highlight jurisdictional, technical, or procedural considerations affecting architectural decisions

    Workflow & Tool Expertise

    • Share insight into how architects use Revit, AutoCAD, BIM platforms, and related design tools
    • Evaluate content involving architectural documentation, coordination, modelling, and project workflows
    • Explain common professional practices across design development and construction documentation
    • Collaborate asynchronously with a small group of subject-matter experts

    Ideal Profile

    Strong candidates may have:

    • At least 2 years of professional architecture experience
    • An active professional architecture licence in the United States
    • Experience across residential, commercial, institutional, or multiple project types
    • Strong familiarity with building codes, professional standards, and architectural documentation
    • Practical experience using Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, or comparable tools
    • Professional working proficiency in English
    • Strong written communication, analytical judgment, and attention to detail
    • Reliable availability for approximately 10 hours per week
    • Current residence in the United States

    Educational Background

    • A professional degree in architecture from a recognised institution is required
    • Active US architectural licensure is required
    • Additional training in building codes, BIM, sustainability, project delivery, or construction administration may strengthen an application
    • Continuing education relevant to professional architecture practice may also be valuable

    Nice to Have

    • A portfolio of built or realised architectural work
    • Experience working across more than one project type
    • Familiarity with construction documentation, consultant coordination, and project delivery
    • Knowledge of accessibility, life-safety, zoning, or sustainability requirements
    • Experience reviewing or mentoring the work of junior architects or designers
    • Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT or comparable systems
    • Previous experience with content evaluation, structured feedback, or AI training projects
    • Familiarity with quality-assurance or peer-review processes in architectural practice

    Why This Opportunity

    • Apply professional architecture expertise to advanced AI research
    • Help improve the accuracy and usefulness of AI-generated architectural content
    • Share practical insight into real-world tools, standards, and workflows
    • Collaborate with subject-matter experts across multiple professional fields
    • Participate in a flexible remote engagement with potential for continued work

    Contract Details

    • Part-time W-2 contingent employment opportunity
    • Fully remote within the United States
    • Expected commitment of approximately 10 hours per week
    • Competitive rates between $60–$85 per hour depending on expertise and project scope
    • Work may include content evaluation, technical question answering, reference review, and structured feedback
    • Engagement scope and duration may evolve according to project requirements and performance
