The Email/SMS Marketing Manager turns lifecycle strategy into shipped programs that drive retention, subscription growth, and customer lifetime value.Precision is everything. Every send reaches a large, engaged customer base where errors compound quickly across deliverability, revenue, and brand trust.This position reports to the Director of Lifecycle.RequirementsCampaign and Flow ExecutionBuild, QA, and deploy email and SMS campaigns in Klaviyo against the lifecycle roadmap set by the Director of LifecycleBuild and maintain automated flows, including welcome, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back, browse abandonment, cart abandonment, and review requestManage send schedules and calendar coordination across promotional, lifecycle, and transactional sendsBuild dynamic content and personalization that adapts based on customer attributesExecute against subscription milestones in coordination with Recharge and Shopify Plus eventsDevelop and optimize on‑site lead capture and subscriber acquisition flows, including pop-ups, post‑purchase opt‑ins, and incentive structures that grow the email and SMS list while protecting deliverabilitySegmentation and TargetingBuild and maintain customer segments based on behavioral, transactional, and subscription attributesApply segmentation logic to maximize relevance and minimize over‑mailingManage tag and customer property structures inside Klaviyo to support segmentationPartner with the Director of Lifecycle on cohort definitions and audience strategyDeliverability, QA, and HygieneOwn inbox placement, sender reputation, and deliverability monitoringMaintain list hygiene, including bounce management, unsubscribe handling, and re‑engagement protocolsOwn and maintain a documented pre‑send QA checklist applied to every campaign and flow, including rendering tests, link checks, personalization validation, segmentation review, and audience size confirmationEnsure compliance with FTC, TCPA, CAN‑SPAM, and SMS regulatory requirementsPlatform AdministrationServe as Klaviyo platform administrator, including user management, integration health, and platform‑wide configurationTroubleshoot and resolve Klaviyo and integration issues raised by CX, ecommerce, and other teamsMaintain technical documentation for flow architecture, segment logic, and integration mappingsData Integrity, Testing, and ReportingReconcile data across Klaviyo, Recharge, Shopify Plus, and Northbeam to ensure reporting accuracyOwn the accuracy of all campaign and flow performance metrics surfaced to the Director of Lifecycle and the broader orgInvestigate and resolve discrepancies between platform‑level data and overall reportingExecute A/B tests defined by the Director of Lifecycle (subject lines, send times, content, offers)Cross‑Functional PartnershipReport to the Director of Lifecycle and execute against the lifecycle strategy and roadmapPartner with the Copy Director and copy team on copy briefs, revisions, and final approvals before sendingCoordinate with the ecommerce team on subscription, promotional, and post‑purchase touchpointsCoordinate with the CX team on customer communication that spans transactional and lifecycle messagingWhat Success Looks LikeExecution‑driven;
