A growing financial services organization is seeking a Remote Mortgage Collections Specialist to join its servicing team. This position is responsible for working with borrowers on delinquent mortgage accounts, providing payment solutions, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service.
This role is ideal for professionals with mortgage servicing, collections, banking, or financial services experience who enjoy helping customers navigate challenging situations while identifying effective repayment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inbound and outbound communications with borrowers regarding past-due mortgage accounts.
Review account information and discuss repayment options, payment arrangements, and available assistance programs.
Document all borrower interactions accurately within servicing systems.
Maintain compliance with investor, company, state, and federal servicing guidelines.
Research account activity and resolve customer inquiries related to delinquency status and payment history.
Educate borrowers on available loss mitigation and repayment alternatives.
Follow up on payment commitments and required documentation.
Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure timely resolution of borrower concerns.
Meet established performance, quality, and service metrics.
Qualifications
Previous experience in mortgage collections, mortgage servicing, consumer collections, banking, or financial services.
Strong customer service and phone communication skills.
Ability to navigate difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Experience with data entry and maintaining detailed account documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience handling delinquent mortgage loans.
Familiarity with loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or repayment plans.
Previous experience with mortgage servicing platforms and call center environments
Pay Details: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour
