We are sharing a full-time opportunity for an experienced communications leader with deep expertise in public relations, media strategy, executive communications, thought leadership, partnerships, and external communications to lead how a high-growth technology organisation is represented across media, customers, and the broader technology ecosystem.
Selected professionals will own external communications strategy, develop company and executive messaging, build relationships with journalists and industry stakeholders, manage communications partners, and lead response strategies around major announcements and time-sensitive issues.
Key Responsibilities
Communications & PR Strategy
- Own and execute the organisation's external communications strategy
- Develop communications plans aligned with company priorities and growth objectives
- Shape messaging across product, corporate, and ecosystem initiatives
- Coordinate communications around major launches and announcements
- Build consistent positioning across external channels
Media Relations & Earned Coverage
- Build relationships with journalists, analysts, creators, and industry influencers
- Secure earned media across digital, print, broadcast, podcast, and social channels
- Identify relevant media opportunities and develop targeted outreach
- Maintain strong long-term relationships with press and industry contacts
- Support proactive and reactive media engagement
Executive Communications & Thought Leadership
- Develop messaging for executives and senior company leaders
- Position leaders through interviews, speaking engagements, bylines, and media opportunities
- Prepare briefing documents, talking points, and executive communications materials
- Provide media coaching and preparation for high-profile engagements
- Strengthen executive visibility and credibility across relevant audiences
Product, Partnership & Corporate Messaging
- Develop communications for product launches, partnerships, and company announcements
- Translate complex technical topics into clear and compelling narratives
- Adapt messaging for customers, media, partners, and industry audiences
- Maintain consistency across corporate and product communications
- Support strategic storytelling around emerging technology initiatives
Agency, Crisis & Stakeholder Management
- Manage external PR agencies and communications partners
- Coordinate vendors and specialist communications resources where required
- Lead crisis and rapid-response communications
- Balance multiple communications priorities in fast-moving situations
- Collaborate across internal teams to ensure accurate and timely external messaging
Ideal Profile
- Significant experience leading communications or public relations for high-growth technology companies
- Strong strategic communications and media-relations background
- Proven record of securing high-quality media coverage
- Established relationships with journalists and relevant industry stakeholders
- Experience leading communications for product launches and major company announcements
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible narratives
- Experience developing executive thought-leadership programmes
- Comfortable preparing executives for interviews, speaking engagements, and media interactions
- Experience managing PR agencies, vendors, or communications partners
- Strong strategic judgement and ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience working effectively in fast-paced remote environments
- Background in AI, developer tools, enterprise software, or B2B SaaS is advantageous
- Familiarity with emerging technologies is beneficial
- Crisis-communications experience is highly valuable
- Experience collaborating with distributed teams is advantageous
Engagement Details
- Full-time engagement
- Fully remote
- Base salary: $250,000–$400,000/year
- Equity compensation may also be available
- Performance-based bonuses may be available depending on role and applicable policies
