We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for senior supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics professionals experienced in domain-specific task design, annotation standards, structured solution development, and evaluation materials across complex enterprise environments.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on supply chain and manufacturing problem design, procurement and logistics evaluation, rubric development, task review, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply senior-level domain judgment to create challenging tasks, write accurate solutions, review submitted work, and provide clear written feedback.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Supply Chain & Manufacturing Problem Design

  • Design challenging domain-relevant tasks involving supply chain planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, inventory management, fulfillment, production planning, supplier management, and capacity planning
  • Create tasks that require strong business judgment, structured reasoning, and practical enterprise experience
  • Write accurate, well-structured solutions to complex supply chain and manufacturing problems
  • Ensure tasks are clear, realistic, and appropriate for advanced evaluation workflows

Annotation Standards & Rubric Development

  • Create precise evaluation standards tailored to supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics topics
  • Develop detailed rubrics and review frameworks for task quality, solution accuracy, and domain rigor
  • Define quality expectations for reasoning, assumptions, calculations, recommendations, and practical feasibility
  • Maintain consistency and rigor across evaluation materials and review criteria

Task Review & SME Evaluation

  • Evaluate supply chain and manufacturing tasks, submitted solutions, and domain-specific reasoning for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify weak assumptions, incomplete analysis, unclear recommendations, or inconsistent business logic
  • Provide clear written feedback that improves task quality, solution accuracy, and reviewer consistency
  • Apply strong attention to detail when assessing technical, analytical, and business-facing materials

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 8+ years of dedicated professional experience in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, fulfillment, production planning, supplier management, or comparable enterprise functions
  • Experience at a recognizable enterprise, global manufacturer, logistics company, consumer goods company, technology company, industrial business, healthcare/pharma organization, retail business, or comparable high-performing environment
  • Demonstrated career progression into senior management, director-level, VP-level, executive, or comparable leadership responsibilities
  • Deep expertise in core supply chain or manufacturing functions
  • Ability to contribute reliably for at least 20 hours per week during weekdays
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, structured reasoning, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment

Educational Background

  • Academic backgrounds in supply chain management, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, logistics, procurement, business, engineering, economics, finance, data analytics, or related fields may be relevant
  • Advanced degree, MBA, engineering degree, or comparable senior professional experience may be especially valuable
  • Experience developing structured business frameworks, process documentation, analytical models, leadership materials, or enterprise planning materials may also be highly relevant

Nice to Have

  • Experience creating or reviewing supply chain case studies, manufacturing scenarios, procurement assessments, logistics analyses, training materials, evaluation rubrics, or structured business tasks
  • Background in demand planning, inventory management, production planning, supplier management, procurement strategy, fulfillment, warehouse management, transportation planning, or capacity planning
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, ERP/MRP systems, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, advanced Excel, KPI design, dashboard review, or enterprise planning tools
  • Experience reviewing structured business content for accuracy, clarity, and practical rigor
  • Ability to translate senior domain experience into clear, challenging, domain-specific evaluation tasks
