Remote PBM Prior Authorization Pharmacist

Pharmacist (Remote) — Contract (W2) | $53/hr

A-Line Staffing Solutions is hiring a Remote Pharmacist for a large healthcare/pharmacy organization. This is a 26-week W2 contract with a goal of contract-to-hire (not guaranteed) .

Pay Rate: $53.00/hr (W2)
Schedule Options (local time zone):

• Mon–Fri 9:30am–6:00pm , or
• Sun–Thu 8:00am–4:30pm
  Hours: 40 hrs/week
  Projected Start: June 8, 2026 (class start; date may be confirmed/adjusted)

What You’ll Do

• Review and complete clinical criteria (prior authorization review per policy/procedure)
• Assess patient profiles, drug interactions, sensitivities, and medication usage history
• Enter prescriptions and support patient/provider medication questions as needed
• Ensure quality assurance, controlled substance security, and safe handling/disposal practices
• Dispense medications and perform final accuracy/quality checks
• Support order resolution work queues as assigned

• Required Qualifications

  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing (in your state of residence)
  • PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and basic computer skills

  Preferred

  • Strong retail pharmacy background (Pharmacy Manager experience is a plus)
  • PBM / Prior Authorization experience helpful but NOT required
  • New grads considered (leadership/residency/fellowship is a plus)

  Remote / Work-from-Home Requirements (Must Have)

  • Reliable high-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload) and ability to provide speed test results
  • Smartphone available (VPN token/app requirement)
  • Private, secure workspace (confidential conversations/screens not visible to others)
  • Able to be on camera during trainings and team meetings
  • Follow teleworker privacy/security practices
    (This is a safety-sensitive role.)
