This role supports an expert evaluation initiative focused on commercial medicines and drug-development programmes. Selected professionals will build and critique launch curves, assess forecasting assumptions, evaluate commercial scenarios, and help develop rigorous rubrics for analysing pharmaceutical launches and market performance.
Key Responsibilities
Drug Launch Forecasting
- Build and evaluate commercial launch curves for pharmaceutical products
- Model uptake, market penetration, peak share, and launch trajectory
- Assess the pace and shape of adoption across relevant patient and prescriber populations
- Evaluate commercial assumptions against realistic market dynamics
- Apply professional forecasting judgment across multiple drug launches
Commercial Forecast Review
- Critique pharmaceutical forecasts for accuracy, logic, and defensibility
- Assess assumptions involving analogues, launch ramp, peak penetration, and market maturity
- Evaluate loss-of-exclusivity assumptions and their impact on long-term forecasts
- Identify overly aggressive, unsupported, or internally inconsistent projections
- Review how competitive dynamics and product differentiation affect forecast outcomes
Pharma Commercial Analysis
- Analyse commercial drugs and drug-development programmes
- Apply knowledge of pharmaceutical markets, launch strategy, and product lifecycle dynamics
- Evaluate assumptions around adoption, positioning, competition, and market opportunity
- Assess how development-stage evidence may translate into commercial performance
- Incorporate practical US-market considerations into forecast evaluation
Rubric Development & Expert Review
- Create structured evaluation rubrics for pharmaceutical commercial analysis
- Critique existing rubrics for completeness, realism, and commercial relevance
- Define criteria that reflect experienced forecasting and strategy judgment
- Identify missing assumptions or weak analytical logic
- Provide clear written reasoning supporting evaluation decisions
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
- At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical commercial forecasting, analytics, or strategy
- Hands-on experience building or reviewing drug launch and uptake models
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical launch curves and peak-share forecasting
- Familiarity with biotech and pharmaceutical development programmes
- Experience evaluating commercial assumptions and market-entry scenarios
- Strong knowledge of the US pharmaceutical market
- Excellent analytical reasoning and written communication skills
- Current US-based professional experience
Educational Background
- A background in business, economics, finance, life sciences, analytics, or a related discipline may be highly relevant
- Advanced commercial, quantitative, or healthcare-focused education may strengthen an application
- Equivalent professional experience in pharmaceutical forecasting or commercial strategy may also be considered
- Practical launch-forecasting expertise is particularly important for this engagement

Contract Details

- Strong contributors may be considered for recurring or expanded engagements

- Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
