Location: Remote (U.S.-based) — working offsite (no onsite requirement)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST (training follows this schedule; permanent schedule assigned after training)
Type: Contract (W2) | 40 hrs/week | ~48 weeks (anticipated)
Openings: 45
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

Position Summary

We’re hiring Remote Pharmacy Technicians to support a high-volume inbound call environment and assist members/providers through a criteria-based prior authorization process. You’ll review documentation for completeness, document determinations, and route clinical judgment questions to a pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls from members, providers, and other healthcare professionals (high volume)
• Provide professional, courteous customer service while guiding callers through the prior authorization process
• Review clinical documentation for completeness and criteria alignment
• Accurately document approvals/denials and related case notes in a timely manner
• Escalate clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist as needed
• Maintain compliance with internal processes and applicable regulations

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year Pharmacy Technician experience (support/call center/admin setting preferred)
• 1+ year high-volume customer service or call center experience (healthcare preferred)
• Strong computer skills and comfort navigating multiple systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Preferred (Not Required)

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification and/or active state license/registration (preferred)

Remote / Work-From-Home Requirements

• Hardwired internet required (Wi‐Fi only not acceptable)
• Ability to provide an internet speed test during submission
• Private, quiet workspace
• Smartphone available for required app usage

Education

• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required
