Key Responsibilities
Review prior authorization requests for clinical appropriateness, medical necessity, and plan criteria.
Apply evidence-based guidelines, formulary rules, and regulatory standards to approve or deny requests.
Communicate clear determinations to providers and members with professional documentation.
Collaborate with medical directors and clinical teams on complex or high-cost cases.
Document all decisions in compliance with CMS, state, and health-plan requirements.
Support process improvements that reduce turnaround times and improve member experience.
What You’ll Bring
Education: PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy.
Licensure: Active, unrestricted U.S. pharmacist license (multi-state preferred but not required).
Experience: Hospital, ambulatory, community, or any clinical pharmacy background is highly valued. New graduates and career changers are encouraged to apply.
Skills: Strong clinical judgment, clear written communication, comfort with criteria-based review, and attention to detail.
