Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing residential property management company, for an entry-level Property Manager to join their team on a fully remote basis. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their real estate or hospitality career to build a foundation in property operations, tenant relations, and lease administration while working with a supportive, experienced team.
Day to day, you will juggle tenant communications, lease paperwork, maintenance coordination, and light bookkeeping, all from a home office setup. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once, someone who thrives on solving problems quickly and keeping both owners and residents happy. Responsibilities
Respond promptly to tenant inquiries via phone, email, and online portal
Coordinate maintenance requests with vendors and contractors
Process lease renewals, applications, and move-in and move-out paperwork
Track rent payments and follow up on delinquencies
Maintain accurate records in the property management software
Assist with marketing vacant units and scheduling virtual tours
Prepare monthly owner reports summarizing occupancy and expenses
Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and local rental regulations
Support the senior property management team with administrative tasks
Help resolve tenant concerns and escalate issues as needed
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor degree preferred
Prior customer service, administrative, or hospitality experience helpful
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable using property management software such as AppFolio or Yardi
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a remote work environment
Basic understanding of lease agreements and rental processes a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Self-motivated with a reliable home internet connection
Willingness to obtain state property management or real estate licensing if required
