We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced accounting professionals with strong expertise in financial reporting, audit procedures, financial modelling, tax compliance, regulatory review, and technical financial analysis to contribute to an advanced AI training and evaluation project.
Selected professionals will review financial and accounting materials, assess audit and compliance workflows, evaluate models and documentation, and provide structured feedback that helps improve AI systems on complex finance and accounting tasks. No prior AI experience is required; practical accounting and regulatory expertise is the primary qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Statement Review
- Review financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness
- Assess reporting quality against established accounting standards
- Identify inconsistencies, omissions, and potential reporting issues
- Evaluate supporting schedules and financial documentation
- Provide clear written observations on reporting quality and presentation
Audit Procedures & Internal Controls
- Review and critique audit procedures across varied business scenarios
- Identify gaps, weaknesses, and areas requiring stronger controls
- Evaluate audit approaches for completeness and regulatory alignment
- Assess internal controls and financial-process design
- Apply practical audit judgement to realistic accounting workflows
Financial Modelling & Analytical Review
- Create and assess financial models for logical structure and accuracy
- Review assumptions, calculations, and model outputs
- Identify modelling errors and weak analytical approaches
- Evaluate whether models produce decision-useful financial insights
- Provide structured feedback on model quality and methodology
Tax, Regulatory & Document Compliance
- Analyse tax-compliance practices and supporting documentation
- Identify potential compliance risks and regulatory issues
- Review financial and legal documents for clarity and correctness
- Assess alignment with relevant accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements
- Apply knowledge of government regulations and financial compliance standards
AI Evaluation & Feedback Development
- Review and annotate accounting-related materials used in AI training
- Evaluate model-generated financial and accounting outputs
- Deliver clear and constructive written and verbal feedback
- Support development and quality review of finance-focused datasets
- Collaborate with cross-functional contributors to maintain evaluation consistency
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Substantial professional experience preparing or auditing financial statements
- Strong expertise in accounting, taxation, economics, and applicable regulations
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and audit procedures
- Experience with cost accounting and budgetary controls
- Practical financial-modelling and analytical-review experience
- Strong tax-compliance and regulatory-review capabilities
- Comfortable reviewing both financial and legal documentation
- Detail-oriented approach with strong commitment to accuracy and compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience translating complex accounting concepts for different audiences
- Relevant professional backgrounds may include CPA, Cost Accountant, Financial Auditor, General Accountant, Internal Auditor, or Revenue Tax Specialist
- CPA, CMA, CIA, or comparable advanced certification is advantageous
- Experience advising on financial systems, controls, or process implementation is beneficial
- Prior human-data experience such as annotation, labelling, RLHF, or model evaluation is advantageous but not required
Engagement Details
- Independent contractor engagement
- Remote — United States only
- Compensation: $60–$120/hour
- Work will involve financial reporting review, audit evaluation, financial modelling, tax compliance, regulatory analysis, and AI-output assessment
- Assignments may include financial statements, audit procedures, models, tax documentation, and related legal or financial materials
- Strong accounting judgement and regulatory awareness are central to this engagement
- Clear written and verbal feedback will be required across project materials
- Project scope, workflows, and evaluation requirements may evolve depending on project needs
- No prior AI experience is required
- Work must be completed without using confidential, proprietary, privileged, or otherwise restricted information belonging to any employer, client, accounting firm, financial institution, government entity, or other third party
