We are licensed to operate in each US State, and in Canada at the Federal level we are registered with FINTRAC and at the Provincial level in Quebec.Role Purpose To build and grow a successful Business Development team, working closely with the County Manager to strategize, train and encourage the growth of the team for the benefit of Moneycorp. To be the team leader among the local BDM's who are tasked with growing Moneycorps partnerships by developing new relationships with strategic partners via various means of contact including; telephone, face to face meetings, networking and trade exhibitions. Setting sales goals, targets and strategizing to improve the quantity and quality of new and existing partnerships and private client leads.Responsibilities Team Leadership Assist Country Manager with recruiting new talent for the Business Development team in North AmericaTrain new starters on the BDM/Account Management roleStrategize and work with Country Manager to set targets and goals for BDM teamDay to day support and team leadership for North American Private BDM teamManage the team to achieve KPI's and targets.Build and Develop PartnershipsIdentify New Business opportunities and develop them into Moneycorp Referring PartnersVisit and communicate with Referring Partners regularlySupport Account Managers where necessary on management of their Referring Partner accountsSend out introductory proposal letters and brochures to new Referring Partners and clientsObtain Referring Partner Agreements from new partnersMaintain Lasting PartnershipsMaintain and develop accounts to ensure Moneycorp remains the provider of choiceAction Referring Partner call backs, and arrange meetings and staff training when requiredProactivelymanage, report and mitigate risksCreate/review Referring Partner account development plansUpdate Referring Partners with information regarding new services/changes to services within MoneycorpBuild client relationships through proactive selling methods and the proposition of appropriate FX risk prevention solutionsPromote and maintain a high level of customer service to existing and potential partnersDeliver sales presentations to partnersMaintain relationships with internal customers and other departmentsProvide figures and management reportsIndustry ChampioningBecome the industry champion within your targeted sectorSubscribe to and read relevant industry press etc. to update the team on a monthly basis of developments/changes in the sector and how we can take advantage of themGather daily market information including reading the Daily Brief & Internal Market ReportAttend meetings, trade fairs, exhibitions and seminars in order to develop new business relationshipsComplianceRemain compliant with any regulations, legislation and company policiesMaintain records of all partner and client contact, incoming and outgoing, written and verbalEnsure all files and documentation are maintained to company standardsEnsure all partner and client correspondence (e.g. letters, e-mails) are of the highest qualityEnsure company procedures and high standards are followed at all times. With particular focus upon KYC procedures and accurate maintenance of all CRM records, particularly client and partner follow up callsWhat We're Looking For Knowledge and Experience: 10+ years' experience in business development / sales with a track record in building and maintaining referral partner relationshipsExperience in building a new team / business areaPrevious experience in a fast paced financial services organization or customer environmentKnowledge of financial services markets, products and servicesSkills and Competencies: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalInfluencing, persuading and negotiating skillsDecision making and problem solving skillsPublic speaking/presentation skillsWhat'sin it for you? This is a full-time, permanent position and we are seeking candidates based locally to our Stamford, Connecticut office.
