We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Full-Stack Software Engineers with strong expertise across front-end and back-end development, application architecture, debugging, APIs, databases, service integration, and multi-language software engineering to contribute to an advanced AI training and software-evaluation project.
Selected professionals will create, solve, review, and validate challenging software-engineering tasks across complete application stacks. The work requires hands-on experience across both front-end and back-end systems, strong debugging skills, and the ability to navigate unfamiliar repositories and evaluate code for correctness, performance, security, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Stack Development & Integration
- Develop and modify front-end and back-end application components
- Build user-facing features, APIs, services, and supporting data models
- Work across browser applications, databases, external integrations, and service layers
- Manage application state, authentication, persistence, and client-server interactions
- Implement changes that fit existing architecture and coding conventions
Debugging & Architecture
- Diagnose failures involving application state, APIs, networking, authentication, databases, and deployment
- Trace requests and data across system boundaries to identify root causes
- Work effectively within unfamiliar repositories and understand existing architecture
- Evaluate architectural fit, system dependencies, and implementation trade-offs
- Develop technically sound and maintainable fixes
Multi-Language Engineering & Testing
- Review and modify code across Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Node.js, Rust, Go, or comparable technologies
- Translate software implementations between languages where required
- Preserve intended behaviour and architectural constraints
- Develop or review unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests
- Validate fixes and identify missing test coverage
AI-Generated Code Evaluation
- Review AI-generated solutions for correctness, completeness, performance, security, and maintainability
- Identify implementation or architectural weaknesses
- Assess whether solutions fit repository conventions
- Provide structured technical feedback
- Document important engineering decisions and findings clearly
Ideal Profile
- Strong professional experience developing production full-stack applications
- Meaningful hands-on experience with both front-end and back-end engineering
- Production experience with multiple programming languages
- Strong knowledge of browser applications, APIs, databases, application state, and service integration
- Experience contributing to complete software-system architecture
- Ability to work effectively in unfamiliar codebases
- Strong debugging and technical problem-solving skills
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Node.js, Rust, Go, or comparable languages
- React experience is valuable
- Ability to evaluate code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability
- Experience translating implementations between programming languages is advantageous
- No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required
Engagement Details
- Part-time independent contractor engagement
- Fully remote and open globally
- Expected commitment: approximately 15 hours per week
- Flexible schedule; contributors may choose their working hours and days, including weekends, provided there is regular activity
