Overview
The Renal Specialist Level I will identify the needs and priorities of the dialysis and apheresis patient through assessment. The Renal Specialist Level I plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The Renal Specialist Level I evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The Renal Specialist Level I is accountable for outcomes of patient care of assigned patients.
Qualifications
Education required: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
License, Certification and/or Registration: Current Alabama or multistate Nursing license required.
Experience: ICU and/or previous Dialysis experience preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Responsibility of the Dialysis staff to give supporting documentation for Renal Specialist II to the Dialysis Unit Charge Nurse. Call is required.
