Ulteig is seeking talented and motivated candidates for an Engineer – Development role supporting utility‑scale solar, wind, and battery projects. The selected candidate will engage with Ulteig's civil, structural, electrical, and high voltage design teams and our clients to provide innovative, forward‑thinking design solutions to facilitate the development stage design of renewable facility projects.What You'll DoApply current, standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to complete engineering tasks, and support other civil, structural, and electrical design workflows as necessary on a case‑by‑case basis.Develop plans, details, and reports that are complete, accurate and in accordance with sound utility‑scale renewables early‑stage development engineering practices.Work closely with and provide guidance to engineering technicians and design engineers.Engage with clients to understand their priorities, relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish project goals while exceeding client expectations.Check design and computations performed by internal design team and provide ideas and execute to promote higher quality designs. Review development plans and specifications for constructability, safety, and risk considerations.Maintain a value engineering mindset throughout design.Work closely with business and engineering staff across multiple markets and technical disciplines.Work closely with clients to understand nuanced technical needs and identify best feasible solution(s).Support marketing, sales and business development activities within assigned market.Demonstrate a wide degree of out‑of‑the‑box thinking, creativity, and design ownership.What We Expect from YouB.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program or equivalent is required.Successful completion of Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, is required (NCEES Council record preferred).Minimum of 4–6+ years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 3+ years of experience in design of utility scale renewables, required.Experience in utility scale renewables development is a plus.Experience in engineer of record or construction of utility scale renewables is a plus.Stormwater management and permitting experience is a plus.Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D is required.
