As a Rental Service Technician, you'll play a hands-on role keeping our rental fleet running strong for customers who count on us, while working alongside experienced leaders who genuinely invest in your growth.
What You'll Do
As a Rental Service Technician, you'll perform preventative maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and repairs on agricultural and construction equipment in our rental fleet, both in the shop and out in the field. Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
Servicing, setting up, and repairing agricultural and light construction equipment
Completing accurate reports and documentation for work assignments
Staying current on agricultural and light construction equipment technology and best practices
Participating in ongoing training and continuing education opportunities
Following all safety guidelines and requirements
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Some trade school or equivalent a plus
Ability to operate (or learn how to operate) forklifts, agricultural, turf and light construction equipment
Mechanical assembly experience preferred
Prior diesel or heavy equipment and small engine equipment repair preferred
Experience with hand tools, including air driven tools
Must have your own full set of tools
Ability to follow directions, both written and verbal
Ability to complete assigned tasks in a limited time frame
Attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
General computer skills
Working Conditions
Work normally performed in a shop setting. May be required to work overtime, and on weekends
Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace
Must maintain a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record. May be required to maintain a valid state commercial driver's license (CDL) and certification requirements for operating material handling equipment as necessary
May require ability to travel
Physical Requirements
Must continually be able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 70 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
Must have good eyesight (correctable to 20/20) and normal hearing for diagnostics and troubleshooting equipment
Requires sufficient visual acuity/dexterity/coordination to safely and efficiently operate machinery
Must be able to tolerate temperature shifts inherent to a shop environment
The position may require walking, standing, stooping and transporting materials or parts on a regular basis, up to OSHA limits
