Rental Manager - Construction Equipment

Rental Manager
Location: Chattanooga, TN area

A well-established Equipment Rental Company in the Chattanooga area is seeking an experienced Rental Manager to lead customer service, rental quoting, and daily rental operations. The ideal candidate has strong rental industry experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage logistics with accuracy and urgency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inbound rental requests and prepare detailed quotes including freight, permits, and mileage
• Coordinate equipment delivery, pickup, and transport
• Maintain rental activity, follow-ups, and project status in the company’s rental system
• Build and strengthen customer relationships while developing new rental opportunities
• Review rental contracts and insurance documents for compliance
• Support rental utilization reporting and assist with past-due collections

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of equipment rental, heavy equipment, industrial services, or logistics experience
• 2+ years in a customer-facing leadership or rental desk role
• Strong quoting experience including freight, permits, mileage, and specialized equipment
• Proficient with rental ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Solid understanding of heavy equipment, rigging gear, and oversize transport requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or business field preferred
