Job Summary: Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for heavy equipment? Join Ohio CAT as a Shop Service Technician and become a vital part of a team that keeps Ohio’s construction and power equipment running strong.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, aerial lifts, and allied machinery
Troubleshoot drive-train, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Perform routine maintenance and manufacturer updates
Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers and team members
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical training or college coursework (preferred)
Experience: Prior experience in construction or power equipment service and repair
Skills & Traits:
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical service skills
Proficiency in DC electrical systems and machine electronics
Ability to read and apply technical manuals and service bulletins
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
Excellent communication and computer skills

Physical Requirements: Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling. Standing, sitting, and climbing up and down stairs, as well as standing, sitting, and climbing into machines. Dexterity Normal. Repetitive Motions: Frequent movements requiring the use of hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
