    Love gear? Love people? This one's for you. Sugar Bowl Resort is looking for hands-on, guest-focused Rental Technicians to help set our guests up for the best possible day on the mountain. Whether it's a first-timer getting into their first pair of boots or a family getting the whole crew outfitted, you'll be the person who makes it happen - with expertise, efficiency, and a great attitude. You'll work in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment where no two days are exactly alike, and where your knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment directly shapes the guest experience. All necessary training is provided, and a passion for snow sports is a definite plus.

Situated atop beautiful Donner Summit, Sugar Bowl has a storied past with ties to Austrian ski culture, Hollywood and Walt Disney.     • Must be fluent in English
    • Previous experience with ski or snowboard rental equipment or POS systems - preferred
    • Passionate about skiing, snowboarding, or the snow sports industry - preferred

    What You'll do:

    • Welcome guests warmly and assist them in selecting and properly fitting ski, snowboard, and boot equipment.
    • Ensure every guest is safely and correctly outfitted before heading onto the mountain.
    • Accurately process rental products, upgrades, add-ons, and other transactions through the point-of-sale and rental systems.
    • Verify guest information, rental dates, equipment selections, waivers, and payment details before completing each transaction.
    • Check rental equipment in and out efficiently and accurately while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
    • Explain rental options, equipment features, pricing, and policies to help guests select the products that best meet their needs.
    • Perform basic ski and snowboard equipment adjustments and binding checks as needed.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout each shift.
    • Stay informed about current equipment offerings, resort products, industry trends, and rental shop procedures.
    • Promote a positive and memorable guest experience through friendly, efficient, and professional service.
    • Arrive on time, in uniform, and prepared to contribute to a productive and team-oriented shift.
    • Support teammates during peak periods and assist with shop operations, inventory, and other duties as assigned.
    • Perform additional duties as directed by the Rental Shop Supervisor or Manager.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, move, bend, and kneel for extended periods during a full shift
    • Ability to lift and carry ski and snowboard equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced indoor environment with high guest volume during peak periods
    • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as boot fitting, binding adjustments, and equipment handling throughout the shift
    • Ability to assist with light cleaning and shop maintenance duties as needed
