Job Title: Production/Repair Operator

Job Description:
The Production/Repair Operator is responsible for advanced fabrication, assembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of cable & harness assemblies, electromechanical subassemblies, placards, and related components for In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity products. This role supports schedule, design, quality, and FAA requirements with elevated proficiency and reduced supervision.

Responsibilities:
Reads, interprets, and applies engineering drawings, technical specifications, schematics, and work instructions with minimal supervision.
Fabricates, inspects, and tests cable & harness assemblies, including more complex multi-branch configurations.
Performs intermediate troubleshooting of production issues, wiring errors, incorrect terminations, continuity faults, and assembly defects.
Programs and inspects labels/placards using labeling equipment; performs basic maintenance on machines.
Performs and documents preventative maintenance and calibration checks on assigned tools and equipment.
Supports continuous improvement activities, including 5S, quality containment, and root cause identification.
Mentors Level 1 assemblers on basic tasks and correct workmanship practices.
Performs additional duties such as material handling, part kitting, and supporting Florida locations using company vehicles.
Performs advanced testing using HIPOT, continuity, multi-meters, VSWR testing, torque tools, automated test equipment, and documentation systems.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required; technical coursework preferred.
Ability to pass or maintain IPC-A-620A certification (Required).
4 years of related experience in cable/harness or electromechanical assembly.
2 years of SAP experience.
3 years of inventory control or shipping & receiving experience.
Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Experience operating a forklift and pallet jacks as required
Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Demonstrated knowledge of IPC workmanship standards.
Intermediate proficiency with crimping, soldering, coax tooling, stripping, and measurement tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP (preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to perform tasks with minimal supervision and high accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of the imperial of U.S. customary system of measurement.
