Luminator is seeking a Repair Order Clerk that is responsible for coordinating the flow of products through the Repair process. This role receives and logs repair orders, organizes incoming units, assigns and routes work orders to repair technicians, and ensures completed products are accurately processed and returned to shipping for delivery back to customers. The position plays a critical role in maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time within the repair operation.
Applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization. Sponsorship is not offered for this role.
Role is onsite at our Plano, Texas headquarters, Monday-Friday.
 
Essential Functions:
Repair Order Intake & Processing
  • Receive, review, and log incoming repair orders into the system
  • Verify documentation, product details, and customer information for accuracy
  • Create and assign internal work orders for repair processing
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming repair items and associated paperwork
Product Sorting & Work Order Routing
  • Physically sort and organize incoming products based on repair type, priority, or product category
  • Route work orders and corresponding materials to appropriate repair technicians or workstations
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure clarity on work scope and priority
  • Monitor workflow and escalate bottlenecks or delays as needed
Repair Tracking & Coordination
  • Track the status of repair jobs from intake through completion
  • Update systems and documentation to reflect repair progress and completion
  • Communicate status updates to internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, customer service, shipping)
Shipping & Final Processing
  • Verify repaired products are complete, tested (if applicable), and ready for return
  • Prepare and route completed units and associated paperwork back to the shipping team
  • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and packaging instructions are followed for customer return shipments
Process & Operations Support
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in staging and sorting areas
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to streamline repair workflows
  • Identify and report discrepancies, process gaps, or recurring issues
  • Follow all safety, quality, and compliance standards
Education:  High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience: 1-3 + years of experience in manufacturing, repair, warehouse, or operations environment required.
Other Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technicians, shipping, and operations teams
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills to manage high volumes of repair orders and ensure timely routing and processing
  • Experience in repair operations, logistics, or order processing
  • Familiarity with bus or transportation products (or similar industrial equipment)
  • Experience with inventory or tracking systems
  • Hands-on experience with SyteLine (Infor ERP) and Salesforce for order tracking and case management strongly preferred
