Repair Technician

Schedule:

1st (6:45am-3:15pm) 2nd (4:15pm-12:45am) 3rd (10pm-6:30am)

Job Summary:

Responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing server and computer hardware to ensure products meet quality and performance standards. Performed electrical and mechanical repairs, replaced defective components, followed technical documentation and work instructions, and used diagnostic tools to identify hardware issues. Maintained accurate repair records while meeting production, safety, and quality requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair server and -computer hardware.
• Identify defective components and perform component replacements.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Use diagnostic tools, meters, and testing equipment to identify hardware issues.
• Read and follow schematics, technical manuals, work instructions, and repair procedures.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Inspect equipment for defects, damage, and quality issues.
• Rework and repair circuit boards, cables, connectors, and other components as required.
• Document repairs, test results, and component replacements accurately.
• Follow ESD (electrostatic discharge), safety, and quality-control procedures.
• Meet daily production and repair goals while maintaining accuracy.
• Work closely with quality and production teams to resolve recurring equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in electronics, computer hardware, server repair, or technical manufacturing preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Experience using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, electronic components, cables, connectors, and circuit boards.
• Ability to perform detailed inspections and identify defective components.
• Basic understanding of electrical and electronic systems.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet productivity goals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must follow ESD, safety, and quality-control procedures.
• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately document repairs.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
