As a Repairs Representative at AAR, you’ll play an important role in supporting the repair process that keeps the aviation industry moving. In this position, you’ll gain hands-on experience managing repair orders, working with vendors, and helping ensure repairs are completed on time and efficiently. You’ll learn how to review vendor quotes, support inventory and supply chain programs, and help make smart business decisions that improve efficiency and reduce costs. You’ll also collaborate with internal teams and customers, keeping them informed of important updates such as pricing and delivery timelines. This position is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Wood Dale, IL, with a planned relocation to the Merchandise Mart (Chicago) in early 2027.
What you will be responsible for:
+ Coordinate and track repair orders from start to finish, helping ensure everything stays on schedule
+ Review vendor quotes and learn how to make cost-effective business decisions
+ Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve questions and keep projects moving forward
+ Keep customers and internal partners informed of important updates, such as pricing or delivery changes
+ Help connect sales orders to repair activity and support overall program success
+ Serve as a key point of contact for program updates, performance, and reporting
+ Support the launch of new programs and gain exposure to how large-scale operations are implemented
+ Identify ways to improve efficiency with the use of performance metrics
+ Assist with vendor onboarding and learn how supplier partnerships are managed
+ Help improve internal processes and contribute ideas that make operations more effective
+ Support shipping and logistics coordination, including drop shipments
+ Document processes and help ensure teams have the information they need to succeed
+ Collaboration within the organization for process improvement and resolution of issues
Qualifications:
What you need to be successful in this role:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or internship experience
+ Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
+ Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
+ A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow

+ Internship, coursework, or exposure to supply chain, logistics, or business operations
+ Any aviation or aerospace exposure
+ A desire to learn about the aviation industry. Experience is not necessary as we’ll provide training and support to help you succeed.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $63,000 to $65,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location.
