After a training process, the role requires a general knowledge of all client-specific procedures, office procedures, litigation process; it assists with the preparation and processing of legal documents, case tracking, and maintaining accurate records to ensure cases progress efficiently and in compliance with court and client requirements. The representative works as a liaison between our firm and the client, reviewing files daily, delegating direction for those files, and taking responsibility for the progression of those files through the litigation process while adhering to client timelines and assigned deadlines.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesServes as a liaison between the firm and the client.Communicates with clients and adheres to client-specific standards and requirements.Reviews and intakes filed pleadings and other court documents.Enters court orders and files documents into the firm's system of record.Processes correspondence and media from the client.Works with SLAs on Replevin placement reviews (confirm balance, interest, suit worthiness, contract terms, any jurisdiction, venue, or arbitration clauses in agreements).Prepares affidavits in support of Replevin suits.Prepares Replevin lawsuits.Works with SLAs to make pre-suit recommendations on suit worthiness of replevin files to clients.Works with SLAs to make post-judgment recommendations on replevin files to clients.Requires effective interaction with employees of various departments, sub-departments, members of management, and client contacts.Formats, proofreads, and finalizes correspondence, pleadings and other legal documents.Drafts basic motions and notices.Tracks deadlines for legal filings.Maintains strong attention to detail.Ensures file accuracy.Performs general and support activities to assist the attorneys.Qualifications and Skills1‑2 years' experience in an administrative position in a legal, banking or business field.Well‑versed in Microsoft products, specifically Excel and Outlook.Effectively communicates in both verbal and written mediums.Must be detail‑oriented and analytical.Must be organized.Must have above‑average reading comprehension skills.Must possess ability to work independently as well as in group environments.Collections or Creditors' Rights experience is a plus.Certificate of completion from an ABA‑approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an associate degree in paralegal studies is a plus.OtherThe statements contained in this job description reflect general details as necessary to describe the principal functions of this job, the level of knowledge and skill typically required and the scope of responsibility.
