-ANTICIPATED VACANCY-

Core Responsibilities:

The person in this position is responsible for tracking and completing data requests for the Office of MaineCare Services and other agencies.

Duties include the following:

1. Complete at least 90% of urgent ad hoc data requests within 4 business days and non-urgent requests within 8 business days.

2. Complete Pediatric Rapid Evaluation Program (PREP) reports for the Case Workers at the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) by pulling and compiling all available claims data for the requested children.

3. Do large data pulls for Program Integrity and the Attorney General's office to assist with identifying fraud.

4. Complete reports for each of the Maine hospitals by pulling and compiling all of the available claims data for specified time periods.

5. Complete additional reoccurring requests as assigned.

6. Act as backup for processing and responding to incoming data requests.

7. Contact requestors to clarify requests whenever necessary.

8. Act as backup for entering Change Requests (CRs) in the RQMS tool for DSS/DW data enhancements and reports, T-MSIS & other extracts.

9. Use SQL to pull data from the Legacy Database (MECMS/legacy claims) and Data Analytics Platform (MIHMS/current system claims) if needed.

10. Follow HIPAA protocols whenever sharing Protected Health Information (PHI).

Minimum Qualifications:

Six (6) years of education, training, and/or experience analyzing, evaluating, and/or developing improvements to organizational and/or managerial systems, programs, and practices.

Preferred experience includes:

• Experience with and knowledge of the Medicaid program and/or other health and human services programs serving low-income populations

• Lived experience with Medicaid and/or other health-related social needs common to individuals and families receiving Medicaid coverage

The background of well-qualified candidates will demonstrate the following competencies:

1. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel including pivot tables.

2. Demonstrated ability to learn and use new reporting systems. Basic SQL skills preferred.

3. Attention to detail.

4. Ability to communicate well one on one, in meetings and in writing.

5. Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and switch between multiple tasks.
