Under general supervision of the Director of Communications or designee, performs advanced and complex technical duties in the production and reproduction of printed and digital materials utilizing high-speed digital printing, graphic design, page-layout, image-editing, and bindery equipment and software; serves as the technical working lead for the District's reprographics operation; coordinates the sequence, status, and day-to-day flow of assigned print-production work and communicates management-established priorities and schedules; provides task-specific technical instruction, demonstrations, and on-the-job training to Reprographics Technicians and other assigned staff without supervisory authority; performs complex prepress, graphic-design, digital-file preparation, print-production, quality-control, troubleshooting, estimating, records, inventory-monitoring, and equipment-maintenance-coordination duties; consults with District customers regarding job specifications, design, materials, production methods, and timelines; and performs related duties as assigned.

The tentative work schedule is 8 AM to 4:30 PM. EDUCATION: Graduation from high school or its equivalency is required. Completion of coursework in graphic communication, visual communication, printing technology, graphic design, or a closely related field is desirable. EXPERIENCE: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in the operation of high-speed digital printing and bindery equipment and computerized graphics, layout, design, prepress, and digital-file preparation using Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, or equivalent software is required.
