Requirements Systems Engineer

Location: Seal Beach, CA (Onsite)

Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Top Secret clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Requirements Systems Engineers to support ground systems and command and control programs. The ideal candidate will be a mid-career systems engineer with experience developing, decomposing, and managing requirements within complex ground systems environments. This role involves contributing to the development of new, first-of-its-kind capabilities and a portfolio of programs that consists of a range of platforms and cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and decompose system and subsystem requirements.
• Manage requirements and develop specifications using tools such as DOORS.
• Write requirements and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for ground systems.
• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, and develop requirements.
• Perform various analyses to optimize system architecture, including affordability, safety, reliability, and maintainability.
• Support the development of Concept of Operations (ConOps) and product design.
• Develop Ground Segment Operational Products in support of space-based systems.
• Conduct ground and system-level verification, validation, and system integration and test (I&T).
• Develop and execute system test plans, procedures, and verification reports.
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.

Experience: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools like Cameo.

• Background in aerospace and defense programs.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Tcl/Tk).
• Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
