Under general supervision, places shelter animals with rescue organizations who need care beyond the scope of what Baltimore County Animal Services can provide, are difficult to place, or to alleviate the overcrowding of the shelter. Performs duties in the receipt, care, custody, and disposition of animals. Definition of Responsibility Oversees the program that coordinates rescue placement needs of shelter animals by sending rescue pleas and then communicating with rescue partners for Baltimore County Animal Services. Manages the placement, release and monitoring of shelter animals into care of rescue partners. Examples of Essential Job Duties. Actively recruits and on boards new rescue partners. Reviews rescue partner agreements and maintains records of all approved partners. Maintains and implements rescue policies, procedures, and rescue agreements.
