Role Description The Rescue Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Baton Rouge, LA. This role involves providing professional confined space and technical rescue standby services for industrial and other client sites, including pre-job hazard assessments, equipment setup, and readiness checks. Day-to-day tasks include participating in rescue drills, maintaining and inspecting rescue and safety equipment, and responding to potential or actual emergencies in accordance with established procedures and regulations. The Rescue Technician also works closely with client representatives and team members to ensure safe work practices, supports safety briefings, and maintains clear, accurate documentation of activities. This position requires strict adherence to Roco Rescue’s safety standards and a commitment to continuous training and skill development.

• Technical rescue capabilities, including confined space, high angle, and fall protection rescue skills.

• Knowledge of industrial safety practices, hazard recognition, and related regulations (e.g., OSHA standards).

• Ability to operate, inspect, and maintain rescue systems, PPE, and related safety equipment.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and situational awareness skills in high-risk environments.

• Physical fitness and stamina suitable for climbing, lifting, working at height, and operating in confined spaces.

• Prior experience in emergency response, fire service, military, or industrial safety is highly beneficial.

• Relevant rescue or safety certifications (such as confined space rescue, rope rescue, or first aid/CPR) preferred.

• Willingness to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, based on client needs.
