Research Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Research Analyst to collect, analyze, interpret, and communicate quantitative and qualitative information to support business decisions. The Research Analyst will conduct market, industry, competitive, customer, and operational research and translate findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and research skills with excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work with large amounts of information from multiple sources.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct primary and secondary research across industry, market, customer, competitor, and business topics.

Collect, organize, validate, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data.

Identify market trends, patterns, opportunities, and potential risks.

Develop research reports, presentations, dashboards, and executive summaries.

Analyze industry and competitive landscapes and monitor relevant market developments.

Design surveys, questionnaires, interviews, and other research methodologies when appropriate.

Interpret research findings and translate them into clear business insights.

Develop and maintain research databases, models, and analytical tools.

Gather information from public databases, industry publications, company reports, surveys, and other reliable sources.

Support forecasting, market sizing, segmentation, and trend analysis.

Collaborate with business, marketing, finance, product, and strategy teams.

Present research findings to stakeholders and respond to follow-up questions.

Maintain accurate documentation of methodologies, assumptions, sources, and findings.

Ensure research outputs are accurate, objective, and supported by reliable evidence.

Identify opportunities to improve research processes, data quality, and analytical efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Market Research, Data Analytics, or a related field.

2–5 years of experience in research, analytics, market intelligence, business intelligence, or a related discipline.

Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet tools.

Experience analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise findings.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple research projects and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SQL, Python, R, or statistical analysis tools.

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms.

Experience with market research or competitive intelligence.

Experience with survey platforms and research methodologies.

Familiarity with statistical methods and forecasting.

Experience working with large datasets.

Experience presenting research to senior leadership.

Knowledge of a specific industry relevant to the organization.

Compensation

Annual Base Salary: $75,000–$115,000

For experienced Senior Research Analysts with advanced quantitative, market intelligence, financial, or technical research expertise:
