Research Analyst Remote (USA) Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Research Analyst to support data-driven research, business analysis, market intelligence, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong research, quantitative analysis, and communication skills, with the ability to collect information from multiple sources, identify trends, develop actionable insights, and present findings to stakeholders.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates located in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research using primary and secondary data sources.

• Collect, clean, validate, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.

• Perform market, industry, competitor, and customer research to support strategic initiatives.

• Develop research methodologies, analytical frameworks, surveys, and data collection processes.

• Use Excel, SQL, Python, R, or other analytical tools to manipulate and analyze data.

• Build dashboards, reports, presentations, and visualizations that communicate research findings clearly.

• Translate complex datasets and research results into actionable business recommendations.

• Monitor industry developments, emerging trends, competitive activity, and relevant market indicators.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, strategy, finance, marketing, operations, and technology.

• Conduct statistical analysis and support forecasting, modeling, and scenario analysis when required.

• Maintain accurate research documentation, assumptions, methodologies, and source information.

• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a concise and professional manner.

• Ensure research outputs meet high standards for accuracy, consistency, and quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Data Science, Research, Mathematics, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in research, business analysis, market intelligence, data analysis, or a related analytical role.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.

• Experience with SQL and/or Python, R, or another analytical programming language.

• Ability to work with large and complex datasets.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or data-quality issues.

• Ability to manage multiple research projects and deadlines independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

• Knowledge of statistical analysis, forecasting, regression, and data modeling.

• Experience with market research, competitive intelligence, financial research, or business strategy.

• Familiarity with AI/ML tools and modern research automation.

• Experience using APIs, web-based research tools, or data platforms.

• Strong presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
