Position Summary

The Center for Global Health and Infectious Disease in the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a full time Research Assistant for the Center for AIDS Research of the UNC-CH School of Medicine. This position will provide support for HIV research by having primary responsibility for data collection and management, medical chart abstraction, data entry into a computerized data entry instrument, and administering surveys to patients.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences

  • Ability to meticulously perform medical record data abstraction and entry, maintain a high level of organization, and work independently.
  • Familiarity with HIV medical care and medical terminology.
  • Experience working with individuals living with HIV.
  • Experience with chart abstractions and administering surveys to patients.
  • Bilingual (Spanish).
