The Research Assistant Intern will support the ESSC Research Division at Easterseals by performing clinical research tasks, including data collection, analysis, experimental procedures, and literature searches. This internship provides a valuable chance to gain practical experience in a clinical research environment, working closely with experienced researchers.
Interns may conduct behavior intervention tasks for research purposes after completing the initial course or acquiring at least 10 weeks of research experience, such as participating in clinical trials or data extraction. The role may also involve providing behavioral interventions under general supervision to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities through planned strategies, including discrete trials, antecedent and consequence modifications, and reinforcement techniques. Interns will also support caregivers in implementing strategies to enhance skills and reduce challenging behaviors. This position is structured as a three-quarter (nine-month) internship to align with program needs and learning objectives.
