Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Assistant for the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Prepares data for analysis, including cleaning and linking multiple datasets.
  • Conducts statistical analyses using longitudinal (panel) data.
  • Creates publication-ready tables and figures.
  • Reviews and synthesizes relevant academic literature.
  • Assists with drafting manuscripts for publication.

FLSA Nonexempt Salary Details $22 per hour Offer Information

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Position Status Part Time Working Hours 19.5 hours per week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, quantitative social sciences or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience analyzing survey data, ideally longitudinal (panel) data.
  • Experience with data cleaning and merging/linking datasets.
  • Strong background in quantitative analysis.
  • Proficiency in Stata.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience writing academic research papers.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
