The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University''s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

This position requires a BA or BS degree, proficiency with data analysis tools, and experience in collecting or analyzing neurophysiological and brain imaging data. The research assistants will be involved in the acquisition and analysis of EEG and brain stimulation data, assisting with fMRI scans, and preparing figures and graphical materials for publications. The role also requires the ability to work independently under general supervision. Prior experience working with clinical populations is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out standard procedures for protocols; assisting in data collection and analysis 40%.
  • Setting up experiments, recording results and maintaining scientific records 30%
  • Ordering and maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies and chemicals 10%.
  • Enforcing safety regulations 10%.
  • Performing other related duties necessary to the functioning of the laboratory, research project or work unit 5%.
  • Performing related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested 5%.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least one and one-half years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with psychiatric or other clinical populations.
  • Experience with electroencephalogram, brain stimulation techniques, and/or magnetic resonance imaging research.
  • Experience with research databases and data analysis software.
  • Experience assisting with manuscript preparation, figure preparation, or literature review.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced research environment.

Other Requirements

  • Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements.
  • Experience with human subjects research, data collection, and data entry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with clinical populations and maintain professionalism in participant-facing settings.
  • Ability to learn and follow research protocols and institutional compliance requirements.
