Job Title: Research Associate – ILocation: Santa Monica, CA 90404 (Onsite)Contract Duration: 18 months with possible extensionPay Range: $37.00/hr. to $39.85/hr. on W2Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card only

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DOKey Responsibilities:- Execute laboratory experiments according to established protocols and support automated workflows using liquid handling and sample processing systems.
- Perform mammalian cell culture, cell counting, media preparation, and routine laboratory procedures.
- Prepare reagents, consumables, and materials for laboratory experiments.
- Maintain accurate experimental records and documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks and data management systems.
- Assist with data collection, data quality checks, and organization of experimental results.
- Identify and resolve routine laboratory and automation workflow issues.
- Support laboratory operations, including inventory management, routine equipment maintenance, and general laboratory organization.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and core facility staff to support timely experiment execution.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications:- Relevant hands-on laboratory experience in an academic, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or comparable research setting.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture through academic, internship, or professional laboratory experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain complete and accurate documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience operating, programming, or supporting laboratory automation equipment, including liquid handling systems.
- Familiarity with cell-based assays, flow cytometry sample preparation, molecular biology techniques, or related laboratory methods.
- Experience using electronic laboratory notebooks, laboratory information systems, or related data management tools.
- Basic data analysis and visualization skills using Excel, GraphPad Prism, or comparable tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs in a dynamic research environment.
Education:- Bachelor's degree in biology, biotechnology, bioengineering, molecular biology, immunology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
