The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Research Associate II - Operational Knowledge Management to design, implement, and execute activities and tasks in support of operationally-focused knowledge management (KM) support to the National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation (NIDHC). This position will coordinate KM activities across NIDHC's Planning and Partnership (P&P) Directorate with key stakeholders, and contribute to the development and dissemination of deliverables and organizational knowledge assets. The Research Associate II will also conduct data entry, management, and analysis tasks in furtherance of specific KM projects and deliverables.

The Research Associate II works in direct support of the NIDHC Planning & Partnerships (P&P) Directorate, reporting to the P&P Program Manager. As a force multiplier, this role is pivotal in advancing the NIDHC's mission to bridge military, civilian, and academic health ecosystems by operationalizing a robust Knowledge Management (KM) framework. The Associate will envision, build, improve and systematize the tools and processes required to help Operational GHE stakeholders meet their critical knowledge requirements. By fostering systems for continuous learning, process improvement, and the sharing of best practices, the Associate enables the Directorate to provide responsive operational reach-back support, track project milestones, and ensure the delivery of technical subject matter expertise across Combatant Command (CCMD) and interagency partnerships, ultimately optimizing mission accomplishment.

Established in 2025, the National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation (NIDHC) integrates the essential functions of the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health (NCDMPH), the Center for Global Health Engagement (CGHE), and the Defense Institute for Medical Operations (DIMO). As a federal organization and academic center based at the Uniformed Services University, NIDHC functions as a central hub within the Military-Civilian Health Ecosystem, connecting military, civilian, and academic partners to advance health operational readiness for crisis and conflict. NIDHC provides the leadership, structure, and accountability necessary to integrate efforts across the DoD, federal interagency, and international partners, leveraging national expertise to strengthen global health security and interoperability through robust training, planning, research, and analysis.
