Our client is seeking a Research Associate to join their Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL Core) team in New York City.

 

As a Research Associate you will support the MEL core and collaborate with other internal and external teams on a variety of new and existing research initiatives. You will support projects, that will vary in nature depending on priorities set by leadership at a given time, ranging from data collection with children and parents, literature searches and behavioral data analysis, research project development and implementation. Furthermore, you will collaborate with others to produce and disseminate publications.

 

This full-time, hybrid position requires a minimum of four (4) days per week in the office, on a schedule determined by your supervisor in the NYC headquarters office. The in-office requirement and schedule are subject to change based on the needs of the program and the organization. This role may require occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate research participant schedules, and may require site visits to other CMI offices for training purposes.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Support study implementation, coordination and data collection with research participants.
  • Facilitate drafting and monitoring study protocols and related documentation.
  • Format, design and build online assessments in multiple platforms including REDCap and Curious.
  • Conduct and summarize scientific literature review, support data organization and analyses, result interpretation, and drafting of reports or manuscripts for publication.
  • Attend and present at team meetings.
  • Provide administrative support for research project operations.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as needed, with or without reasonable accommodations.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Neuroscience, Engineering, or other related scientific fields.
  • 1 year of prior clinical and/or research experience including undergraduate research experience.
  • Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication, and the ability to work as a member of a team, as well as independently.
  • Must be able to prioritize and multitask.
  • Attention to detail: Ensure accuracy and precision in all tasks.
  • Time management: Efficiently handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Effectively convey information and collaborate with others.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Organizational skills: Keep tasks, information, and documents well-organized.
  • Adaptability: Quickly adjust to changes and new tasks as needed.

Special Considerations:

 

The anticipated salary range for this position is $46,000 - $48,000 USD annually.
