Job Description

Assists in various research projects and performs investigative research relating to specific research projects. Assists in carrying out clinical and research activities as directed.

Job Responsibility

1.Performs research and/or development work under the guidance of an investigator, associate investigator or assistant investigator.

2.Follows and adheres to experimental protocols in a proficient and meticulous manner.

3.Develops new experimental protocols, learns new experimental procedures as necessary.

4.Responsible for the collection of data and may contribute to the analysis and interpretation of research data.

5.Performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, completing correspondence, database maintenance, maintaining records, charts, etc.

6.Participates in laboratory meetings and journal

clubs as appropriate.

7.Operates with direct guidance and work assignments are generally straightforward and of moderate complexity.

8.Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but

This role will also involve substantial administrative contributions, including:

  • Providing administrative support for departmental overflow tasks, which includes serving as backup to the Chairs Senior Administrative Assistant for duties such as managing phone calls and calendars, and managing and processing submissions via Chrome River and Procurement systems.
  • Compiling and preparing departmental reports, research presentations, and literature reviews.
  • Coordinating clinical, research, and department events, including attendance at screening events.
  • Maintaining and setting up equipment essential for clinical and research data collection, along with providing general IT support.
  • Performing accurate and timely data entry.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
  • Research administration experience preferred.
  • 2-3 years research experience
