Research Associate, Pediatric Surgery - (26000100)

The Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric Surgery, at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a Research Associate. Under the direction of Dr. Kimberly Lumpkins, the successful candidate will support and develop the clinical, translational, and educational research interests of the division as a core team member. The successful candidate should be able to:

• Cultivate scientific inquiries from initiation to completion
• Work collaboratively across departments and institutions
• Be involved in the research training of student and resident learners
• Effectively balance a portfolio of projects spanning several academic disciplines

Qualifications - Internal

• Candidates must have a PhD
• Strong scientific writing skills are essential
• Prior experience with drafting IRB protocols and/or grant writing preferred
