  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Biology, Physiology, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Experience coordinating or assisting with human subjects research.
  • Experience obtaining or supporting Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Experience recruiting research participants and coordinating research study activities.
  • Experience collecting physiological and/or biological research data in a laboratory or clinical research setting.
  • Experience processing biological specimens (e.g., blood, saliva) using standard laboratory techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing scientific reports or manuscripts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience coordinating human subjects research.
  • Experience with ELISA assays or other immunoassay techniques involving blood and/or saliva biomarkers.
  • Experience with cardiometabolic, exercise physiology, or stress physiology research.
  • Experience using SAS for statistical analyses.
  • Experience developing and managing research databases.
  • Experience leading or training undergraduate or graduate research assistants.
  • Experience preparing manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
  • Experience with clinical trial registration and manuscript submission systems.
  • Experience working in a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory.
  • Experience managing laboratory supplies, inventory, and equipment.
  • Experience with Kuali Research or comparable electronic research administration systems.
  • Demonstrated record of co-authorship on peer-reviewed publications.

Job Description

Responsible for performing a variety of research duties including recruiting and managing participants for research studies.

Job Duties

Primary Duties:

  • Seek and obtain Institutional Review Board approval for research studies involving physiological stress and cardiometabolic health parameters
  • Recruit and management participants for research studies
  • Coordinating and conducting data collection sessions involving surveys and physiological and biological assessments with an emphasis on stress markers
  • Processing and analyzing biospecimens (e.g., blood, saliva) via ELISA techniques as well as research data with statistical software
  • Preparing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals
