As an internco-op with Cleveland-Cliffs you will build life-long professional connections and have the opportunity to be considered for future full-time employment.Cleveland-Cliffs is actively seeking Engineering Co-ops or Interns to work at our Research and Innovation facility in Middletown Ohio in Fall 2026. Working within an assigned department students will work closely with an engineering team providing technical administrative and hands-on support. The Interns may work on a variety of projects applying their engineering education to real-world experiences. They will learn about steel manufacturing and gain invaluable skills and industry experience.Summary of ResponsibilitiesConduct or lead research analysis and improvement projects related to department goalsInterns will experience customer applications of steel materials as well as skills in interacting with many professionals. These include equipment operators engineers managers and customersLearn one or more aspects of the steelmaking processWork closely with an engineer in all aspects of their workWork on and or lead a variety of projects independentlyOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsEnrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the Engineering field of Metallurgy Materials Science Chemical Mechanical or other related technical degreeApplicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
