Job Description:

Grants Administrator

Location: Dallas, Texas (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a Research Compliance Analyst to support a Sponsored Programs Administration team. This role focuses on the administrative and compliance aspects of grant submissions in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate will manage competing deadlines while ensuring strict adherence to sponsor and institutional requirements. This is an administrative compliance position, not a scientific review role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review research proposals for administrative and technical compliance with formatting, documentation, and sponsor guidelines.
  • Ensure the completeness of submissions, including NIH applications and foreign collaboration requirements.
  • Manage a high volume of proposals, particularly during peak seasons.
  • Partner with department administrators and lab staff to request corrections and finalize submissions.
  • Track and manage proposals using internal systems such as eGrants and PeopleSoft.
  • Prepare finalized submissions for routing to leadership for approval and signature.
  • Monitor deadlines to ensure all submissions meet internal and sponsor timelines.
  • Support proposal lifecycle activities, including compliance interpretation and documentation review.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Experience in grant administration, research operations, or compliance-heavy administrative roles is required. The candidate must have experience working in high-volume, deadline-driven environments and possess strong attention to detail for reviewing documentation. Experience with tracking systems or databases is also necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting NIH or federally funded research proposals.
  • Familiarity with the pre-award lifecycle within Sponsored Programs.
  • Exposure to higher education or academic medical center environments.

Compensation & Benefits

A compensation range of $30.00 to $40.00 per hour is offered for this position. Overtime may be available. A benefits package is available to eligible employees.

This employer is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
